In a recent Instagram Live, Lizzo got real vulnerable and serious about how all of the online hate since the release of Rumors is taking a toll on her. "People who have something mean to say about you - and for the most part, it doesn't hurt my feelings. I don't care," the singer tearfully said. "I just think when I'm working this hard, my tolerance gets lower. My patience is lower. I'm more sensitive, and it gets to me."

Cardi B, who collaborated with Lizzo on the new track, quickly came to her friend's defense after seeing the clip. "When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don't they tear you apart until you crying like this," the artist tweeted. "Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table."

And Cardi wasn't done there. The rapper was back on Twitter soon after to make sure everyone knows this one thing: Rumors is a total hit. "Rumors is doing great," she wrote. "Stop trying to say the song is flopping to dismiss a woman emotions on bullying or acting like they need sympathy. The song is top 10 on all platforms."

Grown-ish star Chloe Bailey also took to social media and showered the Grammy-winning performer with love and support. "I'm so proud of you @Lizzo people are gonna talk, but you have power in your voice. thank you for inspiring me," Bailey wrote.
