Doja Cat debuted her latest tattoo on Instagram this week, and people had a whole lot to say about it. The Kiss Me More singer was quickly accused of being a satanist after showing off a new tatt of a mythological figure, and well, she made sure to quickly speak her truth and respond to the haterz! Let's take a closer look.
The singer shared with her 26 million Instagram followers a series of photos captured "purging you" at the beginning of the week. However, there was one photograph in particular that got the attention of the masses. The Grammy winner showed off her newest tattoo of Licenti, a mythological figure, and was instantly accused of being a Satanist. One fan even commented, "used to love you, but you clearly sold your sold to the devil. Unfollow." But Doja wasn't going to let that one go down lightly, as she commented back, "Whatever helps u sleep at night."
As people continued to bash her ink of choice, Doja decided to clarify the meaning behind her tattoo. Her tattoo is part of Fortunio Liceti's 1919 artwork of "monsters," originally titled De Monstris. According to Public Domain Review, "Licenti did not see deformity as something negative, as the result of errors or failures in the course of nature. Instead, he likened nature to an artist who, faced with some imperfection in the materials to shape, ingeniously created another form still more admirable." The Say So singer uploaded a few photos of the mythological creature, writing, "Your fear is not my problem" in the caption.

Despite clearing up the meaning of her tattoo, social media users continued to criticize her, labeling her as "demonic." After one Twitter user accused her of "glamorizing satan," she clapped back and wrote, "truth is im stylin on u fr." But Doja wasn't going to let the trolling stop her, as she continued to defend herself against the haters! The rapper tweeted, "if ur calling me demonic honestly werk cuz like I love that u ate fr." In true Doja format, it sounds like she's not letting the latest gossip offend her.
