Drizzy just made history, again. But we’re not talking about another platinum album or multi-million dollar payout. The Canadian rapper just announced his big plans to open his very own concert venue. Yes, really. Hang on while we break down everything you need to know…
For starters, Drake's latest endeavor is bound to be one for the books. The Toronto site, named "History," will be like nothing we've ever seen before. The venue, part of a collab with Live Nation Canada, will house a fraction of the crowd Drizzy is used to performing in front of. But there's good reason for that.

"Some of my most memorable shows were playing smaller rooms like History," the OVO rapper explained. "I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans." Safe to say, History's 2,500 person capacity will accomplish exactly that.
As for when we'll be catching Chicago Freestyle (among our other favorites) on stage? Soon - like, really soon. The venue's construction process- which is already 3 years in - is set to come to a close later this summer. And, well, after a year dominated by social distancing and staying indoors, what better time to come out and support our favorite artists live?
Lucky for us, History's upcoming gigs and events, including potential career opportunities, are set to be announced in the upcoming weeks and months. Pop on over to their official site to check out the hype for yourself - and of course, check back with us for more updates.
