Ever since he was banned from Instagram in March, Kanye West has apparently been cooking up something big. The rapper is now back on the 'gram, and his first post was an announcement that none of us saw coming.
Ye has joined a long list of celebrities who have endorsed fast food meals over the years - he used his renewed access to his account on the social media platform to reveal a collaboration with McDonald's. But Ye's project doesn't involve working on one of the restaurant's menu items - instead, he'll be teaming up with Muji designer Naoto Fukasawa to work on a new design for the chain's famous burger box. In his first Instagram post on his completely-wiped page, the rapper gave his 16 million followers a little preview of what he had in mind for the package.
The design of the new package looks like a burger in the shape of a box, with the two arches from the chain's famous logo printed on top. The rapper also uploaded an Instagram story that featured the new design and hinted that his collaboration with McDonald's might not stop there. "Next week it's the fries," he wrote under the photo, referencing his 2005 song Gold Digger, featuring Jamie Foxx. And although he mentioned Naoto Fukasawa in his post, the Japanese industrial designer has not yet confirmed the news. But those who have commented on Kanye's new project seem to be surprised by the rapper's post, especially since it was the first they'd heard from him on the platform in months.

"Gotta say though, Ye making his Instagram return with a post about McDonald's was not what I was expecting for his comeback lol," commented rapper Thomas Iannucci on the post. Another user wrote, "This is random as h*ll," while rapper Lil Gnar said, "Do the combo come w Balenci boots." Pretty soon, fans were taking to Twitter to spread the news. However, the fast-food chain has yet to comment on Kanye's announcement. Guess we'll have to wait to find out more about Yeezy's latest drop. Be sure to stick around for more!
