Kendall Jenner's award-winning 818 Tequila drink has added a little more spice to it. The tequila brand has resulted in an influx of new consumers, considering it is one of the Jenner-Kardashian brands. Unlike the pop culture enthusiast, the new and improved tequila will be a statement to mark one year since it was dubbed as the "best-selling new spirit brand of 2021 in the United States."

Near February 2021, Kendall Jenner went down a different Calabasas road to her sisters. Unlike fashion brands, perfumes, and make-up sensations, Jenner turned her interests toward the art of alcohol, choosing tequila as her muse. Considering the spirits industry is considerably high on the market, Jenner tapped into this market by testing out various combinations. While on a four-year journey, the 25-year-old was determined to create "the best tasting tequila." Jenner, alongside her team, even took part in blind taste tests to perfect the perfect kick. The drink even participated in world-tasting competitions where it "won 25 blind tasting awards at eight international spirits competitions." Considering the burst of flavors, Jenner launched three types; reposado tequila, Blanco tequila, and añejo tequila. Now, there's a new shot in the mix.

The 818 founder, Jenner, said, "the launch of Eight Reserve is a milestone moment for the 818 Tequila brand." The new Eight Reserve is an añejo-tasting tequila that includes flavors mastered by "Master Tequileros in Jalisco, Mexico." Typically, regular tequila falls under the aromatic, rich flavors of cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, dried berries, and praline. Yet, the new and improved añejo blend consists of "one-year-old Añejo and extra Añejos as old as eight years," creating a scarce texture of "softness and depth." The improved bottle is alluring in adding value other than its heightened flavor. The bottles are all handmade by artisans in Pachuca, Mexico. It was designed by Valerio Sommella and is shaped into the number eight. The art of the bottle reconciles with this "moment in 818's history - an unforgettable shape made for passing hands and infinite tequila enjoyment." According to IWSR, the most trusted source of alcoholic trends, tequila consumption rapidly increased in 2021, with a 27% increase predicted to beat vodka sales by 2023. This makes tequila the favored spirit in the U.S.

Considering 818 Tequila is "made from 100% Blue Weber Agaves in Jalisco," it is no surprise the impact it has had on the spirit market. While Jenner celebrated her 818 launch at Soho House's Little Beach House in Malibu, more celebrations are on the way for the innovated drink. The improved drink will be available on the 818 website, September 19 where each bottle will retail for $200 USD.
