How Queen B Rang in Her 40th Birthday
| LAST UPDATE 09/05/2021
Every September 4th is a national holiday, but this year was extra special because Beyonce turned the big 4-0. Some of Hollywood's biggest icons showered Queen B with love in honor of her birthday, and the Royal Highness herself shared some never-before-seen photos to celebrate. Here are all of the details.
Social media was buzzing with sweet words for Bee on her big day. But it's Tina Lawson's post that really hit the spot. The proud mama took to the Gram with all of the Beyonce content we didn't know we needed. Tina uploaded a throwback interview where her Grammy-winning daughter listed a few of the things she wanted to achieve before turning 40. Spoiler alert: the Crazy In Love singer did it all.
"You reached every one of your goals and then some," Mrs. Lawson wrote. "You deserve it baby, And every other blessing that God has bestowed upon you ... You are the most honest, intelligent and creative person I know ! That Virgo mind is always 10 steps ahead . There is not a mean bone in your body and no bitterness in your heart!!"
Tina wasn't done hyping up her firstborn. "Even with all of your success you have managed to still be an amazing humble, caring human being! You are so loved by so many !!" she continued. "Today I look at you and see true Happiness !! With an amazing man that loves you and children that adore you !!! Nothing or no one can mess with that kind of love and happiness! I just want the world to know !!!"
She wasn't the only one admiring Beyonce. From Oprah to Issa Rae, other celebrities starred in a special birthday tribute put together by Harper's Bazaar for their September cover star. And the queen of supporting other women, Megan Thee Stallion, didn't hold back on the Gram. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEENNNN," the Savage singer wrote. "love you."
And while the notoriously private star has yet to share any photos of the day's celebrations, she did give us some never-before-seen throwbacks. The pics, featured in a few collages posted to Queen B's website, show her personal and career highlights from 1981 until now. And yes, it's as fire as it sounds.
Happy birthday, B! You're Flawless.
