They've swapped studios for screen time before, but Fiddy and Snoop's upcoming series will be like nothing you've ever seen: in only a matter of time, the hip hop legends will be dropping their very own crime drama, ripped straight from the headlines - more specifically, their own lives. That's right. Hang on while we break down what we know so far.
As Deadline first revealed, Starz has tapped both rappers to executive produce their latest series: A Moment In Time: Murder Was the Case. Set in 1993, the true-crime drama will walk us through Snoop's very own court trial, which saw him tried for the murder of rival gang member Philip Woldermariam. Remember that?

"Murder was the Case is an incredible story," 50 Cent explained. "Snoop had the biggest album in the country and was fighting for his freedom in the courtroom... I'm excited to be working with Snoop to bring it to television. #GLG." No surprise, Uncle Snoop is just as eager: "This was a pivotal moment in my life and career, and I've deliberately waited until I found the right partner to bring this to the screen. #GLG. You are now about to witness the strength of street knowledge," he added.
While we'll probably be waiting quite sometime before we get to cop this drama for ourselves, there's more where that comes from. In case you forgot, Murder Was the Case will mark the 2nd installment in an anthology series that rehashes the biggest beefs in hip hop history.
Back in 2020, A Moment in Time's first season made waves online after documenting the infamous rivalry between 50 Cent and The Game. But if you haven't yet watched the drama for yourself, the follow-up Starz season is already lining up to be just as noteworthy. "This is going to be Bigger than OJ... Bigger than Tropicana," Fiddy warned. "I believe this will break all viewership records at Starz. GLG, GreenLightGang. BOOM thought I was capping."
Well, you heard it here first. Stay tuned - you won't want to miss this one.
