'I Am Legend' Sequel Announced Starring Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan

Two of the most iconic film actors of all time are joining forces for the first time on the big screen in I Am Legend, the sequel. Who, you may ask? None other than the original scientist, Mr. Will Smith himself, and joining him will be....Michael B. Jordan. Drop whatever it is you're doing to envision those two werking it on screen.

The 2007 original film follows Smith as a scientist, Robert Neville, who finds himself the last survivor of a deathly plague in New York City. As a result, he searches for a way to find a reverse effect of the virus by using his own blood. The movie ends by showing Neville sacrificing himself to save others, now begging the question-did Neville really die? With a sequel approaching and Will Smith starring, our 2007 minds are shattered. So many questions, and now we are getting the answers we deserve. Both Smith and Jordan will star and produce in the film, with Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman to produce and pen the sequel. Akiva Goldsman originally adapted Richard Matheson's 1954 novel I am Legend for the 2007 iconic screenplay.

Fan's everywhere freaked out to see Will Smith drop the big news on the gram right after the official announcement was made. Smith uploaded a still shot from the first movie tagging Michael B. Jordan, and the comment section started to blow up. Celebrities such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Will Smith's former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star, commented, "Wait…WHAT?????" while MJB's boo Lori Harvey commented, "And I ooooppp… "excited to see her mans do his thing on the big screen! And so are we. Fans from everywhere commented, "PART 2?!!" and "Wowww I can't wait," sharing their excitement for the movie's return.

In the meantime, both Smith and Jordan have been taking over the big screen. Smith just won his first SAG award for his role in King Richard, and Jordan is currently in production for Creed III, where he will be making his directorial debut. Unfortunately, plot details for the upcoming I Am Legend sequel are kept under wraps for now, but the moment we hear more, we'll be sure to share.
