Michael B. Jordan himself just dropped the official trailer for Creed III, and well, we were at the edge of our seats the whole 2 minutes and 22 seconds. Almost 5 years later, Jordan will be returning as Adonis "Donnie" Creed for the franchise's long-overdue next film. And just when we thought the story was over, it clearly is not. Not only is Jordan returning as Donnie once again, but the young actor is taking a seat on the other side of the camera as well for his directorial debut.
For those that need a little recap on Rocky, let us explain. The Rocky franchise began back in 1976, starring Sylvester Stallone as a small-time Philadelphia boxer who made it big, and well, it exploded into a billion-dollar franchise. In 2015, Ryan Coogler (Black Panther) took over as director, with Michael B. Jordan starring as Donnie. And well, nearly eight years later, we're here with Creed III on the way. Audiences were hesitant over the franchise's revival, but naturally, Jordan absolutely killed it on screen and in the ring - and we can't wait to see what he's bringing us this time around.
Jordan shared the trailer to Instagram, explaining there has been "no film that has been more personal" to him and "no film I've felt more ready to steer" in his career. In the first trailer for the MGM film, we see Jordan on top of the world, with his wife Bianca (Tessa Thompson) and daughter Amara (Mila Davis-Kent), as he receives an unexpected visit from an old pal, Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors). The trailer shares that Dame actually spent the last 18 years in prison, and when he got out, the first person he came to see was his "brother," Donnie. But as it turns out, Dame is "coming for everything" as the two eventually duke out their past in the ring.
