Save your tears because The Weeknd is back at it again: The Billboard hit-maker just ticked yet another accomplishment off the list. Only this time, forget sold-out arenas - his latest endeavor will be taking us all the way to our screens.
In only a matter of time, the artist will be producing, penning (partially, at least), and starring in his very own HBO series. Yes, really. Titled The Idol, the drama will follow a female pop star headed down a slippery slope after crossing paths with an L.A. club owner who turns out to be the leader of a secret cult.

And while there's no word yet on who'll be playing who, we're willing to bet good money that our Starboy will be stepping into the shoes of that club owner. Or maybe that's wishful thinking; we guess only time will tell. What we do know, though, is that this isn't the first time The Weeknd dabbled with acting.
In case you forgot, the singer made a cameo in Adam Sandler's 2019 drama, Uncut Gems. He also voiced characters on both American Dad and Robot Chicken. And while we'll have to wait and see how the star's latest role measures up, we've got a feeling it'll be one for the books.
