Christmas might be over, but Doja isn't done giving. In fact, she's got lots of tricks up her sleeves for the coming year. As the artist recently announced, she's already got her sights set on another album - and she's calling on 2 guys in specific to make it happen. Here's what went down.
On Christmas eve, the Get Into It artist took to the 'gram to first announce the big news: "New project," she teased of her plans for a double album. As for what that'd look like? In typical Doja style, her first drop would take a "pop-rap" approach. But it's her plans for the 2nd album that got people talking. "12 songs... All of them, every ******* one, Jay Versace and 9th Wonder," Doja revealed of her plans for a hip-hop album, ideally produced by the two music moguls.

As she put it, getting both stars on her tracks "would mesh really nice." But how do they feel about it? Not long after the announcement, Jay Versace took to Twitter with one word: "brah." Which, well, we'll let you interpret that one. What we do know, though, is that 9th Wonder was just as taken back. "Say what now?" the star commented.

In case you forgot, Versace first made a name for himself back in 2018 after going viral on Vine. Since then, he's taken a dive into the music biz, producing one of his first tracks for Westside Gunn. Similarly, 9th Wonder has also made waves in Hollywood. The record producer has already teamed up with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including 'Ye and Kendrick.
No doubt, an album from these two would get people talking. But while we'll have to wait and see if Doja's grand plans ever come to life, we've got other drops to keep us busy in the meantime. In fact, back in June, the artist released her 3rd album, Planet Her. "For me, I want to try all these things," she explained at the time. Will her next album live up to those words?
Stay tuned.
