Frank Ocean is one of the most elusive musicians possibly ever. However, there are hints that fans may be getting a new album from the singer. That's right. Keep scrolling for everything we know so far.

Only recently, Ocean was confirmed to be one of the three main headliners at the upcoming 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Ocean will close out the weekend with the Sunday night performance. The other two headliners of the weekend will include K-pop sensation BLACKPINK and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. Fans have been waiting a long time - and we mean a really long time - to see Ocean take the stage once again. The last time he performed was way back in 2017, when he headlined the Flow Festival in Helsinki, Finland. Plus, it has been over a decade since he came to Indio, California, to perform on one of the Coachella stages. The headliners were the Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre with Snoop Dogg the last time he got on stage in the desert. Talk about a #TBT. But that’s not all. Some hints have been made by the Thinkin Bout You singer that suggests a new album may also be coming out soon.

In a new merchandise drop lay the clues. On the back of the posters included in the drop were a few paragraphs, which Complex uploaded to Twitter. Ocean referred to himself as “the Recording Artist” throughout the text. He wrote, “The Recording Artist attempts to explain to the major music label that singles distribution model as opposed to the long-form album model.” He then continues to write what appears to be an explanation about why he released singles DHLIn My RoomDear April, and Cayendo in 2019 and 2020. He believed that audiences enjoy singles more because they can make their own playlists, and albums are outdated. Then, there is the sentence that is making fans everywhere give side eyes. “The Recording Artist has since changed his mind about the singles model and is again interested in more durational bodies of work.” While nothing has been confirmed yet, fans are hyped with even the possible hint of a new album. Blonde, Ocean’s last album, was dropped in 2016 as a surprise release.

Are we looking at another? The 2023 Coachella lineup is out now, with tickets still on sale. Until then, stay tuned for more updates on Frank Ocean's latest ventures.
