Juice WRLD's record label shared a trailer to the late hip hop star's Twitter page. The video promoted the nearing release of Fighting Demons. It seems like the name was inspired by the Grammy-nominated artist himself, who struggled with his own demons: depression, addiction, and anxiety. "One of the greatest artists of our generations shared his own battle," appeared on the screen, alongside older snippets of Juice WRLD on tour and in the studio.
In one clip, he describes how things in society need to change. Those battling depression and other mental health issues shouldn't be looked down upon, he explained. Many of his devoted fans admire his ability to open up and share his thoughts so freely. They find his music helpful when dealing with their own hardships.
Thankfully, fans will have even more songs to enjoy. Some of the tracks will even be featuring other popular artists, including The Chainsmokers, Marshmellow, and Roddy Rich. As luck would have it, a single from the record, Already Dead, dropped on Friday, getting fans even more eager. The lyrics seem to once again represent the Bandit artist's distress, "I'm only here by popular demand," and "I'm stayin' alive for the fans," he sings.
It's clear that Juice WRLD truly cared about his supporters. His mom, Carmella Wallace shared, "There was nothing Jarad, 'Juice WRLD' Higgins enjoyed more than delivering new music to his millions of fans around the world." She continued, "He left behind an astonishing deep catalog of music that will ensure his fans will have new songs to listen o for years to come. Jared was always searingly honest about his struggles and through his musical genius he articulated what was on his heart and mind vividly through his art." The rapper's first posthumous album Legends Never Die was a complete success when it came out in July 2020. The Lucid Dreams artist even reached Billboard charts, something he himself, sadly didn't get to witness. There is no doubt in our minds that the second posthumous album, Fighting Demons will be anything short of amazing. In the meantime, we'll be listening to Juice WRLD's older hits.
