On January 20, NFL took to Twitter gave us a taste of what to expect: "watch these five music titans get ready for the #PepsiHalftime Show on February 13," they teased. This time around, get ready to watch history go down as hip-hop's biggest names link up for a show like never before. Not only will Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, and Eminem be hitting that Halftime stage, but they'll be doing so from their own backyard.

"The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career," Dre explained of the Inglewood, California gig. "I'm grateful to Jay-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment." For those who forgot, Hova's Roc Nation has signed on to serve as strategic entertainment advisor for this year's Super Bowl show. And you already know what that means: "We're gonna give you the greatest performance you've ever seen in hip-hop history," as Snoop Dogg promised.
"We're so thankful that NFL is accepting hip-hop on stage and letting us do what we do," the Drop It Like It's Hot rapper continued. "We plan on putting together a great show and giving the people something they've been waiting for."
