Megan Thee Stallion's been on the grind 24/7 since breaking into the music scene back in 2017. But the hustle became a little too much, as the rapper confessed she almost fainted on stage.
While Megan was twerking it out during her Austin City Limits set, behind the scenes the energy was off. And while the audience might not have known it at the time, the W.A.P. singer got real with her 25.5 million Instagram followers in a long message she shared the day after her October 1st gig. "I kept pushing Bc I always want to be great for the hotties," Meg captioned her ACL highlight reel. The dance moves were tight and she didn't miss a beat, but Thee Stallion was struggling during the show. "I was so scared I was going to faint towards the end of my set," she admitted. Fans were shocked to learn that their H-Town Hottie wasn't feeling 100% during the legendary performance. But why did she almost faint?
According to the Cry Baby rapper, she had been working so hard in the lead-up to the show that she had gone the whole day without eating. "Ok so boom the night before my ACL performance I was up so late shooting and I got right on a flight to make it to Austin early in the morning," Meg explained to her fans. "I forgot to eat and I only had espresso to keep me going before my performance." But luckily, while Megan may have been running on an empty tank, she got through the challenging set thanks to some mad love from the crowd and two special supporters.
Just when she needed that extra little push, Meg's prayers were answered thanks to Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus. The two music industry legends were backstage cheering Megan on during her set, and Miley even ran out to twerk with the Body rapper to help hype her up - and it definitely did the trick. "Thank you hotties... for cheering me tf on cause I thought I wasn't gonna make it," Thee Stallion confessed.
Nothing but mad respect for Megan for holding out - and be sure to check back soon for more industry updates.
