Nicki Minaj Reveals 'Pink Friday 2' Album in the Works

The queen of rap, Nicki Minaj, has some exciting news for her Barbz. After a decade since her debut album Pink Friday, the Trinidadian rapper and singer-songwriter announced that she's dropping the sequel, Pink Friday 2. Fans were ecstatic to get a glimpse of what's in store for them. But wait, there's a catch!

Minaj revealed that due to some "exciting news", the album’s release date has been pushed back a tad bit. Though, she assured fans that it'll be well worth the wait. On Thursday, the rapper took to social media, sharing the news with her fans. She wrote, “MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23 - and she shall be called: #PinkFriday2.” She continued, “Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out so…here it goes.”

It's clear that Minaj loves and appreciates her fans' support, and she's not taking it for granted. She expressed her gratitude for the love and support her fans have shown over the years, saying, "I love you guys so much. I am grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me." To make up for the delay, Minaj shared a temporary cover image from her Pink Friday debut, in honor of her first studio album. The cover features Minaj in a cream tulle gown with embellishments, baby pink high-heeled boots, and a pink wig with bangs. Her fans are already hyped about the news, eagerly anticipating the album's release.

The announcement was met with excitement from her fellow musicians, including Ariana Grande and JT from City Girls, both of whom expressed their eagerness to hear the album. JT even made a special request to Minaj asking for a song like Save Me to be included in the album. Minaj has collaborated with rapper Ice Spice for a single on the new Barbie film, dropping on July 21st, before the album release. Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 is set to release on November 17th, 2023, so mark your calendars now!
