Sure, we know about his camping out in Mercedes Benz Arena. We know about DaBaby's controversial verse. But ever wonder what else went into the making of Kanye West's latest album? According to Young Thug, it called for an ultimatum that almost cost him and 'Ye their friendship...
During a recent interview with Complex, the rapper sat down to talk about his latest ventures – including, of course, his verse on DONDA's track, Remote Control. And from the sounds of it? Thugger's feature on the album came at a pricey cost. "I just hit Kanye like, 'Bro, if I ain't on the album, we are not speaking,'" the So Much Fun rapper confessed.

Sure enough, we all know how that story ended. But what we didn't know was just how loyal 'Ye really is. "What [people] don't know about Kanye West is he's a real *****. He's a billionaire, and all that **** is cool, but in real life, he could survive in the trenches," Young Thug said. "If he go to the trenches, the jungle, he could survive. He a real *****."
But just because West knows how to get things done doesn't mean he was busy calling the shots throughout his entire album process. In fact, he wasn't. "You can't instruct me. You can't give me instructions, and I am saying that humbly," Thug explained when asked if he was given any guidance by 'Ye during their collab. "I understand music. I understand life. I understand everything." Glad to see he stays humble.
In all seriousness, though, the rapper's relationship with Kanye isn't the only one that's got Thug's attention. "I feel like [people] like Kanye West and JAY-Z, and... Quincy Jones, and James Brown, and if Michael Jackson and Prince were here… [they'd] understand that about me. They trust me," the artist continued.
Safe to say, you can always count on Young Thug to keep it real - and that won't be changing anytime soon.
Stay tuned; who knows what other tricks Thugger has got up his sleeves...
