We've been waiting all summer to return to our screens and marvel, in real-time, at the glory of our favorite basketball players. With the training season over and matches set, all teams are prepping to make waves on their road to victory in 2022. This years season opener began Tuesday, October 19th after a busy summer of offseason moves. The night featured two highly anticipated games, the Nets vs. Bucks and Warriors vs. Lakers, all nationally live streamed on TNT. Though many new records were set, a highlight of the event was definitely getting to see the previous season champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, receive their decked out commemorative championship rings. Nothing major, just rings with over 400 diamonds!

Riding the victory train, the returning champions won their game against the Brooklyn Nets while fellow big leagues, the Golden State Warriors, won their game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Golden State star Steph Curry cruised through the opener with an 8th career triple-double resulting in a 121-114 victory at the Staples Center. Other exciting favorites to watch were LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, each bringing something different to the energy and overall excitement of the night.

Though none of the opening teams played at full strength, we expect to see the heat turned up a notch soon as players get back into their usual rhythm--just in time for playoffs. Next up fans can expect to see favorite teams like the Pacers, Nuggets, and Bulls hitting the court tonight as all aim towards All-Star weekend in February 2022.
