He's had quite the year, no doubt about it. But Tiger Woods is officially back. The golfing legend will be returning to the greens for the PNC Championships in only a matter of time. But he won't be acting alone. From his upcoming match to the announcement it called for, here's what we know about the star's long-awaited PGA return.

On December 16, Mr. T will be headed back to his old stomping grounds as the 2021 PNC Championships comes to a close. Held at Orlando's Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, the unofficial PGA Tour event is already lining up to be one for the books. And with good reason. Not only will Woods be showing us how it's done, but he'll be doing so with the help of his little man: 12-year-old son Charlie.

"Although it's been a long and challenging year, I am very excited to close it out by competing in the @PNCchampionship with my son Charlie," the pro-athlete announced of the big news. "I'm playing as a Dad and couldn't be more excited and proud." While we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out, there is one thing we do know...

Tiger's return to the putting green was a long-time coming. In case you forgot, it's been almost a year since the golf champ's had his hands on a golf club. Back in February, the 45-year-old was suffered a life-threatening injury. As reported at the time, Woods was rushed to the hospital after being involved in a single-car accident near Los Angeles. And while he's since made quite the recovery, that doesn't mean it's been easy.

As a matter of fact, it hasn't. From emergency surgery to endless months of rehab, it took lots of hard work getting Woods back on his two feet. But now that he's done just that? You can bet he'll be coming back with a bang. Be sure to tune in when Tiger and his son steal the show at PNC's Championship on December 16 (which you can still cop tickets to, by the way.)
