Future is joining the long list of celebrities who are transitioning into the world of fashion, and well, we can't wait to see what he's made of. The French luxury fashion house, Lanvin, has recently tapped the Mask Off rapper to creative direct its latest Lanvin Lab collection.

Following the shocking announcement of Bruno Sialelli's departure from the fashion house, Lanvin is looking for a remodel. In addition to its standard women's and men's ready-to-wear collections, the brand is launching something completely new, known as Lanvin Lab. The idea is to collaborate with international talents around the world on projects, and well, first up is the Atlanta rapper native, Future. The rapper is no stranger to the spotlight, with numerous music awards under his belt, but it's time for the stylish rapper to try a hand at fashion. Not to mention, Jeanne Lanvin's daughter and muse, Marguerite, was a musician herself and has always been a main source of inspiration for the house.

In a press release announcing the collab, Lanvin Lab is a "space to dream and play" and will give guest-designed collections to support the house's seasonal capsules. Lanvin hopes to tie together the worlds of music and fashion with their latest decision, with Future leading as creative director. "Future is a visionary whose artistic influence extends way beyond music and entertainment and resonates throughout broad swathes of contemporary culture today," a statement from the brand reads. "Lanvin is delighted to partner with Future, whose innovation and originality have reshaped the worlds of music and entertainment." The co-designed collection is scheduled to drop this upcoming fall, with men's and women's ready-to-wear pieces and accessories.

However, this isn't the first time that the French luxury brand is linking up with a hip-hop star. In 2021, Lanvin worked with Offset for its Gallery Department's splattered paint collection. And now, with Pharrell as Louis Vuitton's Men's Creative Director, the opportunity for hip hop to meet high fashion feels abundant. As high fashion brands become aware of how influential rappers are in the world of fashion, it only makes sense that the iconic brand, Lanvin, tries something new with one of the most symbolic rappers of our time, Future. So, now we wait and see.
