The local optimist group, Mahappy, has linked up with Columbia Sportswear for their latest collab that is available via Instagram-only. The clothing brands have released the Summer Outdoors 2022 Collection for all who are ready to enjoy the outdoors while looking stylish. According to Madhappy's Instagram, the installment is available "exclusively on Instagram" for users to check out.
When starting the clothing brand in 2017, the founders made it clear that their mission was "to make the world a more optimistic place" and create some pretty sick clothes while doing so. The mental health brand prides itself on working towards de-stigmatizing mental health through its brand and, in doing so, creating more talk surrounding the important subject. In the official Madhappy mission statement, the creators wrote, "While we are not experts or medical professionals, we hope to serve as guides: raising awareness and accessibility so that people can better identify what they're going through and seek help when needed." While working towards maintaining its mission, the brand created a free mental health resource blog, the Local Optimist in 2019 for users to follow, and a Madhappy podcast where founders Mason Spector and Peiman Raf talk all things mental health.
Although the brand has a few must-have staples, such as their basic terry hoodies or local optimist crewneck, their latest collaboration with Columbia Sportswear promotes getting outside, being active, and looking your best while doing so. The clothing labels are working together to push for mental health- awareness and to identify one's "peace & balance in nature." The range includes classic Columbia pieces, such as fleece hoodies, crewnecks, sweatpants, and short silhouettes and tees - mixed in with Madhappy's fashionable approach on casual yet very trendy wear.
Columbia is just one of the many major collaborative projects the Local Optimist group has worked with since its start five years ago. At the beginning of this year, Madhappy linked up with the Los Angeles Lakers to create a collection embracing the California home team, with dope pieces from Lakers knit shorts to fleece pullovers and wool jackets. And number six himself, Lebron James, has been spotted wearing the fashion-forward brand. So, if you're looking for a few new summer pieces to add to your wardrobe, make sure to check out Madhappy's latest collab.
