The wait is finally over: Nigo's long-awaited collection has finally hit shelves. Weeks after his PFW debut, the newly titled KENZO king has officially marked his reign. And you can bet it's already got people talking. So let's dive right into it, shall we? Here's what to know about the limited-edition capsule.

On Saturday, February 5, KENZO's Spring/Summer 2022 collection dropped on their official site, and stores alike - including Dover Street Market, SoHo and select L.A. shops. Dubbed the "Boke Flower Collection," the carefully curated pieces pay tribute to the Japanese flower of the same name, slated to blossom later this month. Safe to say, the 5-piece genderless wardrobe - designed with both men and women in mind - is as colorful and bold as one would expect.

From a blue coach jacket, seen on Nigo himself during the PFW exhibit, to cargo skirts and gently oversized shirts, the Spring capsule captures exactly what Nigo has been promising: "a real wardrobe for the future, tied to the wisdom of the past." Not only is KENZO's founder, Kenzo Takada, immortalized through the symbolic pieces, but the delicately painted flowers seen throughout also shed light on what's to come. "Inheriting the spirit of Kenzo san's craftsmanship to create a new KENZO is the greatest challenge of my 30-year career, but, together with the team, I intend to devote myself to it," the Japanese visionary nodded.

In case you forgot - the limited-edition launch was actually a long time in the making. Back in January, Nigo first teased his creative directorial debut during Paris Fashion Week's Fall/Winter 2022 exhibit. And from the looks of it, no other show was as hyped up as the designer's return to the runway. With big names like Kanye, Pharell, and Gunna in attendance, the standout show was, no doubt, one for the books. Check it out for yourself here, and of course, be sure to stay tuned while Nigo continues to expand his reign.
