TikTok is North West's playground; we're just watching her glamorous life play out. This time, North had taken a bite of nostalgia and appeared to be wearing an old piece of Kanye West, her dad's collection.
In a TikTok uploaded to Kim and North's shared account, the 10-year lip syncs to 2008 Estelle hit American Boy, funnily featuring a verse from her dad, Kanye, while dancing around the streets of Tokyo with mom Kim. However, it's not only the contents of the TikTok that has our attention; it's what North is wearing. Back in 2004, while Kanye was promoting his first-ever album, The College Dropout, he appeared on MTV's Total Request Live, or TRL. He wore a Ralph Lauren dark blue and bright orange striped polo shirt on the show. Underneath the polo, he layered a pale green button-up shirt visible on the cuffs and lapel over a white tee. In Kanye's fashion, there is naturally a big gold chain to adorn the bright polo.
Not only does North wear this piece down to the correct color of the pale green shirt, but we're also arguing that perhaps the young Ice Spice lover did it better. On the other hand, Kim's outfit doesn't pull from the archives, but she wears oversized cargo pants, a small cropped tee, and some almost completely hidden Converse. In a recent episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kim revealed that she has collected many of Kanye's old pieces as a "time capsule." Last year, North attended Paris Fashion and wore Kanye's old blue Pastelle varsity jacket that he last wore at the 2008 AMAs. Before Ye created Ye, Pastelle was his fashion line in the late 2000s. According to Complex, the line was halted after Kanye controversially got up on stage during Taylor Swift's speech at the MTV Music Awards.

We're still determining if this is the original polo or outfit, but when it's identical, does it even matter? It's not the first time, and it definitely won't be the last; we will see more of the eldest Kardashian-West child pulling out all the stops to wear the most fabulous outfits any adolescent could hope to have.
